Leading the development of a Figma-based design system to support Google’s first-party native mobile applications across Android and iOS.
The system was built to ensure visual consistency, scalability, and seamless cross-platform design alignment.
The system included an extensive library of reusable components and platform-specific patterns, tailored to meet the unique requirements of mobile UI while maintaining a cohesive user experience.
Leveraging a Design System Manager (DSM), we stored variables and design tokens externally, allowing for centralized control over themes, spacing, typography, and color—enabling effortless updates and synchronization across multiple products.
This infrastructure not only streamlined design and engineering workflows but also empowered teams to ship high-quality, brand-consistent mobile experiences faster and more efficiently.
